Overview

The settlement resolves allegations concerning unauthorized access to a limited number of Community Realty Management email accounts between September 10 and October 22, 2024. The case is Barry Alexander v. Community Realty Management, Inc., No. 2026-009398-CA-01, in the Circuit Court for Miami-Dade County, Florida. CRM denies wrongdoing, and the court has not decided which side is right.

Who qualifies

  • You were identified by Community Realty Management as potentially affected by the 2024 data incident, including if you received a notice.
  • You did not submit a valid request to exclude yourself from the settlement.

What you could receive

Class members may claim up to $2,000 for actual, documented, unreimbursed costs caused by the incident, or choose an alternative payment expected to be $20 without proof. All class members are also eligible for two years of CyEx Financial Shield Complete with $1 million in financial fraud insurance. The settlement places a $200,000 cap on cash benefits, so payments may be reduced pro rata if valid claims exceed that amount.
