Overview

EMM Loans, LLC agreed to settle a class action lawsuit over a targeted cyberattack on its computer systems discovered in February 2024. Files accessed in the incident may have contained names, Social Security numbers, driver's license or other state identification numbers, and passport numbers. EMM Loans denies wrongdoing, and the court has not decided who is right. The case is Lehrbach v. EMM Loans, LLC, Case No. 1:25-cv-02040, in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
