Overview

Farmers Insurance Exchange, Farmers Insurance Company, Inc., and Fire Insurance Exchange agreed to settle claims that calls and text messages from specified insurance agents marketing Farmers products violated the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act. Farmers denies the claims. The Missouri court has not decided which side is right.

Who qualifies

  • You received two or more calls or text messages within a 12-month period from one or more agents identified in the official settlement notice, or their agencies, marketing Farmers products or services.
  • The calls or texts were received from April 19, 2020 through June 15, 2026.
  • Your phone number had been on the National Do-Not-Call Registry for more than 30 days and was registered to an individual, not a business.
  • Your phone number appeared on the list produced in the litigation.
  • To receive payment, you must make the additional certifications required by the official claim form, including the certifications concerning quote requests and prior Farmers customer status.

What you could receive

Valid claimants may receive a pro rata share of the $1.25 million settlement fund, capped at $160 per claimant. The actual payment may be lower depending on the number of valid claims and court-approved deductions from the fund.
