Listed generic prescription drugs in participating jurisdictions
Court
U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut
A bipartisan coalition of state attorneys general is administering consumer claims tied to settlements in federal antitrust litigation over generic drug pricing. The states allege that manufacturers coordinated prices, bids, and market allocation for numerous generic medicines. Generic drugs contain the same active ingredient as a brand-name medicine and are commonly filled at pharmacies after a doctor writes a prescription.
The current claim program covers qualifying purchases of drugs identified on the official AGGenericDrugs.com list from May 2009 through December 2019. Consumers must use the official list and claim form because not every generic medicine, purchase, state, payer, or transaction is necessarily covered. Claims are due March 8, 2027.
Earlier settlements with Apotex, Heritage, Bausch, Lannett, and Glenmark contributed more than $96 million. On October 1, 2026, the states filed a new proposed $400 million settlement with Sandoz Inc. and Fougera Pharmaceuticals. That Sandoz agreement requires court approval and includes consumer, government, business, litigation-cost, and administration allocations. It does not establish a fixed individual payment.

Sandoz proposal
New $400 million agreement awaits court approval
The October 1, 2026 agreement adds proposed monetary relief and compliance obligations but does not convert the states' allegations into findings or guarantee added money to a particular claimant.
The program provides restitution from manufacturer settlements, but it does not promise a fixed dollar amount per consumer. Distribution depends on the approved funds, eligible drugs and purchases, valid claims, allocation rules, and permitted deductions. The October 2026 Sandoz proposal totals $400 million over seven years, with about 70% designated as restitution for consumers, government entities, and certain businesses and about 30% designated for litigation and related state costs. Sandoz denies the allegations, and its settlement remains subject to court approval.

Free eligibility check
Do you qualify?
Check your eligibility and get help understanding your claim. It's free and takes under a minute.
No. The official site maintains a covered-drug list, and purchases must also satisfy the applicable date, jurisdiction, and claim requirements.
How much money could I receive?
No fixed individual amount has been established in the sources reviewed. Payment depends on the approved distribution, eligible purchases, valid claims, and available consumer restitution.
Is the new Sandoz settlement already final?
No. The states filed the proposed agreement and a motion for preliminary approval on October 1, 2026. Court review and later approval steps remain.
Did Sandoz admit price fixing?
No. The court filing states that Sandoz denies the allegations. The proposed settlement would resolve specified state claims without a trial finding.
What is a generic prescription drug?
It is a medicine approved to use the same active ingredient as a brand-name drug. The dispute concerns alleged competition and pricing conduct, not a claim that generic medicines are inherently unsafe.
Is Class Action Pulse administering these claims?
No. Class Action Pulse is not a law firm or settlement administrator and cannot guarantee eligibility or payment. Rust Consulting operates the official claim process for the states.
