HumanEdge, Inc. is a staffing and recruiting company based in White Plains, New York. Job seekers use the company to apply for temporary, consulting, and full-time positions, while employers use it to find and place workers. Those relationships can require HumanEdge to collect identifying and employment-related records, which is why unauthorized access to its files may matter to applicants, placed workers, employees, and other people whose information the company maintained.
California's official breach-notification portal identifies HumanEdge as the reporting organization and lists March 17 and March 18, 2026 as the known breach dates. HumanEdge's notice says the company detected suspicious activity in its network on or about March 18, started an investigation with cybersecurity specialists, and determined that certain files may have been accessed or acquired without authorization. The company completed its review of the affected files on August 13 and began mailing notices on September 1.
The public investigation record confirms that names and Social Security numbers may have been involved. Other data categories may differ by person, so an individual's HumanEdge notice is the controlling source for the information associated with that recipient. HumanEdge says it strengthened its network security after the incident and offered eligible recipients complimentary identity-protection services through IDX.
