Overview

NJ Lenders Corp agreed to settle a class action lawsuit over an August 2025 targeted cyberattack in which files containing private information were allegedly accessed. The information may have included names, Social Security numbers and other non-public personally identifiable information. NJ Lenders denies wrongdoing, and the court has not decided who is right. The case is Castenie et al. v. NJ Lenders Corp, Case No. PAS-L-001210-26, in the Superior Court for Passaic County, New Jersey.

What you could receive

Eligible class members may choose either reimbursement of up to $2,500 for documented, unreimbursed out-of-pocket losses related to the data incident or a one-time $40 alternative cash payment that does not require proof.
