Overview
A settlement has been reached in Joanne Vannier and James Ciuffo v. Parks Heritage Federal Credit Union (Case No. EF2025-73702, Supreme Court of the State of New York, County of Warren), over a targeted cyberattack on Parks Heritage's computer systems in July 2024. Files containing private information were accessed, potentially including names, Social Security numbers, financial information, and credit or debit card numbers. Parks Heritage denies it did anything wrong and agreed to settle to avoid the costs, risks, and uncertainties of continued litigation.

What you could receive
Class members can claim one of two cash payments. Cash Payment A reimburses up to $4,500 for actual, documented out-of-pocket losses related to the breach (including identity-theft or fraud losses, credit report or monitoring fees, and ID-replacement costs), plus up to four hours of lost time at $25/hour (maximum $100, within the $4,500 cap). Cash Payment B is a one-time $75 payment with no documentation required. Class members may also receive credit monitoring.
