Saber Healthcare Group operates skilled nursing and assisted living communities in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, and North Carolina. Residents, patients, families, employees, and others may provide identity, insurance, medical, or payment information while receiving care, arranging services, working at a community, or handling billing. Saber says it detected a service outage and unauthorized activity on July 27, 2026. The company isolated systems and hired outside cybersecurity specialists. Its later notice says an outside party entered the corporate network and encrypted a small portion of files. Saber restored inaccessible files from backups within 24 to 48 hours and says its separately hosted electronic medical record database was not accessed, modified, or copied. Saber completed a review of potentially affected files on August 19. Information varied by person and may have included names, birth dates, driver's-license or state-ID numbers, health-insurance information, medical information, financial-account information, passport numbers, and Social Security numbers. Saber says it has no evidence of actual misuse and offers complimentary credit monitoring and identity-protection services to eligible people. Attorneys are separately recruiting affected people, but no filed class case, certified class, settlement fund, or guaranteed payment was verified.
Who qualifies
- Notice recipient: You received a Saber incident notice saying that information connected with you may have been present in potentially affected corporate-network files.
- Relationship: You were a resident, patient, employee, family contact, vendor, or another person whose information Saber maintained for care, insurance, billing, employment, or operations.
- Person-specific data: Your own notice identifies the categories that may apply. Do not assume every listed data type was involved for every person.
- Legal intake: You understand that contacting attorneys requests an evaluation only. It is not a settlement claim and does not guarantee representation, a lawsuit, class certification, or payment.
How to file your claim
