Waterford Hotel Group is a hospitality management company that operates or supports branded, independent, university, and convention hotels. Hotel guests, employees, applicants, vendors, property owners, and business contacts may interact with Waterford through reservations, stays, payments, employment, benefits, accounting, or hotel operations. Waterford Hotel Group, LLC and LMD Holding Company, LLC say they identified suspicious activity on certain computer systems on May 5, 2026. They secured the systems and hired forensic specialists. The investigation found that an unknown actor gained access and could view or download certain data. Waterford later completed a review to identify the information and people involved. The data varied by person and may have included names, driver's-license numbers, Social Security numbers, passport numbers, taxpayer IDs, financial-account information, payment-card information, usernames and passwords, medical information, and health-insurance information. Waterford says it has no indication of actual or attempted identity theft or fraud resulting from the event. Attorneys are recruiting affected people, but no filed class case, certified class, settlement fund, or guaranteed payment was verified.
