Whirlpool Corporation agreed to settle Costa v. Whirlpool Corp., No. 1:24-cv-00188-MN, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. The lawsuit alleged that wire harnesses in certain Whirlpool-manufactured side-by-side refrigerators could break and cause the in-door ice maker, ice dispenser, water dispenser, or control panel to stop working. Whirlpool denies wrongdoing. The settlement provides different benefits depending on when a covered wire harness issue occurred and whether it has been repaired.
