People who paid for branded Chantix in the United States or its territories may qualify for a payment from a proposed $44 million class action settlement with Pfizer. The class period is September 29, 2015 through September 17, 2021.
Pfizer will fund the settlement; after approved deductions, up to 20% of the available fund is allocated to individual consumers and the remainder to qualifying third-party payors. Consumer payments are pro rata based on amounts paid and cannot exceed the amount paid. The claim form may request prescription and out-of-pocket payment information; supporting records may be requested later.
Claims must be submitted online or postmarked by September 14, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. The same date is the opt-out and objection deadline. Final approval is scheduled for October 13, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern. The plaintiffs allege Pfizer sold Chantix containing an undisclosed nitrosamine; Pfizer denies wrongdoing, and this economic-loss settlement does not describe personal-injury compensation.
This is not legal or medical advice and no payment is guaranteed.
